Pregnant period is the most crucial time for every woman in the world. Knowing that you are pregnant is absolutely good news. For the next 9 month, you need to prepare everything to stay healthy and maintaining your body to get high amount of nutrition during your pregnancy. Foods are having important role during pregnancy. But, for your information, there are many kinds of food which is not suitable for you. Everything that you consume will be absorbed by your baby. Therefore you can’t eat randomly in order to keep your baby from hazardous effects. That is why you need to be careful and selective before you eat. I will give you the selection of foods which are hazardous for your pregnancy and here comes the list.
1. Sushi
Sushi is a Japanese raw food. The reason why this food is prohibited for you is, sushi is feared unsterile and contains dangerous bacteria such as salmonella, coliform, and toxoplasmosis. The last bacteria will attack your baby’s head.
2. Greasy Meat
Greasy meat is prohibited for you, it can raise the cholesterol inside your body and other health problem. A complication during childbirth will occurred if you continue to eat greasy meat during the pregnancy. I believe that no one want to get those scary experience.
3. Undercooked Foods
Undercooked foods are generally prohibited to be consumed especially for pregnant woman. These foods are feared contains Salmonella which is dangerous if consumed. Pregnant woman will having an infection caused by the bacteria and also hazardous for the baby. The examples of undercooked foods are meat, egg, raw milk, and seafood.
4. Fermented Foods
The first entries are fermented foods. Yeast is being used for preparing the foods. And the result is various kinds of foods and drinks contain alcohol. We already knew that alcoholic foods and drinks are dangerous for pregnancy. The example of fermented foods and drinks are unpasteurized milk, wine, yeast bread and unpasteurized cheese.
5. Cheese
Most of pregnant women thought that cheese is suitable to be consumed. Pasteurization is a process where the dairy products are cooked for 30 minutes. Pasteurized cheese is safe to be consumed but not with unpasteurized cheese. It’s very dangerous for you to eat unpasteurized cheese. Unpasteurized cheese commonly found from import. The examples of unpasteurized cheese are Brie, Camembert, Feta and Roquet cheese.
6. Food with Artificial Sweetener
Artificial sweetener contained inside foods, drinks and snacks are dangerous to be consumed. It will bring harmful effects for your babies such as nerve disturbance, lungs and heart didn’t perfectly developed, urinary tract infection and cancer. As long as you can control the consumption, there will be no problem.
7. Foods with High amount of Sugar
You should control to eat foods like cakes, chocolate and candies during your pregnancy. These foods are high in sugar. It will bring harmful effect for you and your babies. Glucose inside these food will trigger raise the sugar inside your blood and triggering complication during childbirth. It will also make your babies born with obesity.
8. Mutton
In a certain condition, you can’t eat mutton. Mutton will raise the blood pressure. However, you can eat it as long as your tension is normal. But, if your tension is high, you better not eat it.
9. Salty Foods
Salty foods usually come from snacks and various kinds of chips. Just like mutton, salty foods will raise your blood pressure. A pregnant woman with high blood pressure is risked during childbirth.
10. Foods or Drinks with Caffeine
Foods and drinks with coffee are also dangerous for your baby. The baby’s heart rate will rise due to the consumption of these foods and drinks. The baby will feared to have a heart malfunction. That is why you shouldn’t eat these foods and drinks during the pregnancy period.
11. Raw Seafood
I think this is a bad news for seafood lovers especially for pregnant woman. As we already know that raw seafood is dangerous for pregnancy. The raw seafood is feared to have dangerous Salmonella bacteria. However, well cooked seafood still can be consumed in a balance portion.
12. Raw Clamshell
Raw clamshell is one of the seafood examples which are prohibited to eat especially for pregnant women. Raw clamshell brings a dangerous poison which can make a food poisoning for pregnant woman.
13. Raw Potato
Raw Potato or half cooked potato is feared to carry dangerous bacteria such as Listeria, Shigella, E.coli and Salmonella. These bacteria will bring a harmful effect for your baby.
14. Mushrooms
This food is absolutely delicious. Mushroom is plant who grows in a moist area. There are 5000 kinds of mushrooms in the United States and 100 kinds of them are poisonous. Mushrooms can bring a digestion problem in general. It’s better to wash and cooked it perfectly before you consumed them.
15. Fish
In order to give an appealing and longer durability, a certain amount of mercury has been added in various kinds of fish. Mercury is a very dangerous compound and if you didn’t choose correctly, you will get the harmful effect from it. Exposed fish usually have a shinier scales and skins. There are also kinds of fishes which already have mercury inside their body such as swordfish, mackerel and sardines.
16. Bitter Foods
Bitter foods such as papaya leaves are contain with Kina. Kina is an effective compound to prevent malaria disease but it’s dangerous for pregnant woman. The fetus will fear to be shrinked and vulnerable from miscarriage.
17. Preservatives Foods
Foods with high amount of preservatives shouldn’t be consumed during your pregnancy. It will make harmful effects for your baby’s brain development. The example of preservatives foods are instant noodle, sardines, and canned foods.
18. Foods with MSG
Monosodium Glutamate or MSG is not suitable to be consumed by pregnant woman. Over consumed of this artificial taste will increase your blood pressure and blocking the development of your baby’s brain.
19. Food with Artificial Color
Food with artificial color are comes in rich variety of shapes and tastes. You need to be more selective to eat since the artificial color in foods can bring various cancers for your baby.
